images on your mobile device from which it will then extract the exif data. This data is used to show
you the locations where those images were taken with the help of Google Maps and Streetview.
If you choose to create an account on TravelStreetview, certain information in your profile will be publicly accessible and identifiable via your screen name.
TravelStreetview uses Firebase as its data storage service which means that your information will be stored on the Firebase servers and not on servers owned by TravelStreetview. For detailed information about privacy and security in Firebase please follow this link.
Information you enter in the app will be collected and stored on your device. This includes all images you
select and all exif data which is contained in these images. Furthermore the exif data is used to also
collect location information like the city, area or country where the image was taken.
This information will not be stored on the Firebase servers but will stay on your device as long as you do not create a TravelStreetview account.
Should you decide to create an account, your visited cities, areas, countries and all other information in your passport will be stored on the Firebase servers and will be publicly accessible. You do however have the option to keep this information private so that it can only be seen by you by selecting the "Make passport private" checkbox in the app settings. Your information will then still be stored on the Firebase servers but will only be visible to you.
All images you have selected in the app will not be published even if you create an account. The app however also allows you to explicitly publish images. These images are then marked by a blue cloud icon and will be added to your public album. All images in your public album are publicly accessible.
Should you decide to take a picture through the TravelStreetview app instead of selecting an already existing image on your device, the app will request access to your current location and your device's camera. This information is only used to display the image's location and will not be collected for other purposes.
Additionally the app will request permission to read your current location in order to display this information on the map which is displayed in the "Maps" tab. This information is also not collected or used for any other purposes.
At any time TravelStreetview allows you to delete information you have already published. You can delete individual published
images in the app which will delete them on the Firebase servers as well. The same goes for individual
items in your passport. Furthermore you can make your passport private so that it is only visible to
you. This action will not delete your passport information on the Firebase servers though.
In the app's settings you also have the possibility to delete your whole account. This action will irreversibly delete all information linked to your account on the Firebase servers. Please note however that Firebase periodically creates automated data backups which can be used to restore data in the case of a data loss incident. This means that your data will still be contained in these backup files for another 30 days. Should you encounter problems with the account deletion feature in the app you can contact us and we will manually delete the information associated with your account.
TravelStreetview does not share any of your information with other parties. Please note however that the app serves ads via Google's AdMob service. AdMob uses your device's advertising id to serve personalized ads based on your interests. We do not have access to or control over the technologies this service may use to collect information about you.
Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
The combination of Google Maps and Streetview allows you to revisit the locations where your travel pictures were taken.
You can earn a passport stamp for every year in which you visit a country. All your visited cities, areas, regions and continents are displayed in your digital passport.
Share your favorite travel pictures and locations with your travel mates.
TravelStreetview can be used without an account. All your pictures will stay offline and on your phone unless you explicitly decide to publish them.
